3G Direct Pay announces exciting partnership with Kopo Kopo to offer mobile payment options for travel merchants in East Africa

Direct Pay Online is delighted to announce the new partnership with Kopo Kopo, a merchant services platform for mobile transactions. Our partnership, the first of this kind in East Africa, will bring exciting and innovative payment options for the travel industry in our region.

Now travel providers will be able to accept online all methods of payment, including credit cards, PayPal and mobile money. It will enable our East African clients to extend their payment options using mobile
money anywhere in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Zanzibar.

By using Kopo Kopo’s services platform we can now proudly offer all leading mobile money options in the region to the online platform to the travel providers. This includes Kenya’s M-PESA as well as Tanzania’s M-Pesa and Tigo Pesa, with additional services to soon follow soon.

This will be the process customers will go through thanks to the new Direct Pay Online and Kopo Kopo partnership. Customers visit the provider’s payment page, powered by Direct Pay Online. They then select any mode of payment in order to pay online, and select their choice of mobile money option, based on their country of residence. Customers then pay online using their mobile money account, and receive a real time confirmation from their provider.
