Afrikoin is a grassroots initiative that is driven by innovators whose goal is to address the challenges around digital currency and payments in Africa, as well as to facilitate a learning opportunity for anyone who may be new to e-commerce and digital payment processing.

With at least 150 attendees expected at the event, and live-streaming for delivery to a wider audience, the event planners hope to address industry-forward advancements, and bring together sponsors and speakers from around the world that can add to the current focus on Africa.

In addition, presenters of IHub Research, together with Savannah Fund will present a study that began with the Kenyan consumer (with hopes for expansion across the African nations) and will discuss their research on Digital Money User Preference and Behavior, where consumer preferences and e-commerce tendencies will be examined. The will also address the question as to whether investors and merchants should invest more heavily in the online consumer and digital payment processing industry.

Savannah Fund to Host Accelerator Demo Day With a Focus on E-commerce and Digital Payment Solutions

Savannah Fund is currently invested in the e-commerce space as well as the payment solutions space and will host a demonstration for 4 of the startups that are currently in their Accelerator Class on November 20th, immediately following the Afrikoin event. Corporations, financial institutions and venture capitalists are invited to attend.
